Mapping is A Community Experience

Just as the web has transformed publishing and blogs have transformed media, digital maps have transformed how the world thinks of map data. Anyone can quickly and easily make a map and share it with friends and family or with the whole world. Public maps are instantly indexed and added to our local search. 

You can create your own maps mashups quickly & easily using our simple drag & drop drawing tools. A poignant example was when local station KPBS created a map of the San Diego fires, to keep local residents abreast of evacuation notices and the progress of the fire.
